Building Design of a Kindergarten in Chana by Elisa Valero Arquitectura

The purposes of the school building are to make it functional, placing the classrooms and patio on the south, and make it rapid and rational. Designed by Elisa Valero Arquitectura, it is made in a single level to be easy to access. The school building is built to become three strips partitioned by patios. The school building is also designed well for the children’s safety; with high wall enclosing the building and safe evacuation zone as large as 600 meters.
The school building is constructed with steel structure with good natural lighting entering and large playground for the children on the south. There are seven classrooms in the school building; 2 classrooms for 0-1 years old children, 2 classrooms for 1-2 years old children, and 3 classrooms for 2-3 years old children. Each classroom has a bathroom that can be shared with another classroom besides. The school building also consists of administration area, multipurpose area, pantry, scullery, laundry room, garbage room, equipment room, dressing rooms, and cleaning closet. There is a porch at the building entrance area as well as a playground with vegetable garden in the south.
