When browsing the web, I run into images of the BMW Art Car Collection. This was an initiative from BMW to commission contemporary artists to design the paint jobs of their cars. Even Andy Warhol was commissioned once to design the paint job of an M1 in the 70’s. They were very popular in the 70’s and 80’s . I believe they commissioned seven or eight art cars in the last 30 years.
I used to have posters of them when I was a kid. I always have been fascinated with the concept. These were some of them. The first one was the one Andy Warhol did.
