You have a good choice Personal loans , or a personal loan designed specifically for car purchase. The two are almost identical, but some lenders offer special deals and lower interest rates, if you are using the loan to purchase a car. Also with car loans, some lenders may offer you car-related incentives such as emergency breakdown cover, free motor insurance or special discounts on car accessories. Personal loans normally have lower interest rates than manufacturer schemes or hire purchase loans. Personal loans are available from banks, building societies, and independent finance companies and could be a secured loan or an unsecured loan.
Manufacturers’ schemes
You see these types of loans advertised by the car manufacturer and these can be arranged either directly with them or via a local car dealership. Part exchanges on your current vehicle are normally accepted, and the remaining balance is paid through a loan. As with a hire purchase scheme, you will not be the owner of the vehicle until you have repaid the loan in full. If you default on repayments, the car will be repossessed.
Hire purchase (HP)
This sort of car loan is arranged by car dealerships, and in effect it means that you are hiring the car from the dealer until the final payment on the loan has been paid. When the loan has been fully repaid, full ownership of the vehicle is transferred to you.
Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)
If you’re buying new and plan to keep the car for no more than three years, then swap it for another new car, you may wish to consider a personal contract purchase plan (PCP). You pay a deposit (up to 20% of total), followed by agreed number of low monthly repayments for up to three years. A final payment must then be made. This is agreed at the start and is known as the Guaranteed Minimum Future Value (GMFV). At the end of the agreement that you can keep the car, hand it back, or part-exchange it for another new car. Usually available for new and nearly new cars only. If you want to keep the car you must pay the GMFV. If you hand it back, you owe nothing more. But you won’t have a penny of your deposit or payments refunded. If you part-exchange the car, the dealer will value it. If it’s worth more than the GMFV, he’ll put that amount towards the deposit on your next car. But if it’s worth less you won’t have to make up the shortfall. Available from: car dealers, independent finance houses, banks

Decide on the level of car insurance cover
- The cheapest car insurance cover is third party. This protects you from liability if you injure someone and pays to replace or repair their car, but does not cover damage to your car.
- A slightly more expensive option is third party, fire and theft. In addition to third party cover, it pays for repair or replacement of your car if it’s stolen or damaged, or destroyed by fire.
- The most expensive car insurance is comprehensive. These policies also cover damage to your car if you are involved in an accident.
Things to look out for in car insurance cover
- Check that you’re covered if personal belongings are stolen from your car.
- Check for upper limits, i.e. what the policy will pay out on individual items—for example, expensive in-car audio equipment.
- Check for legal protection cover, which is essential if you’re involved in a legal action as a result of a car insurance claim.
- Ask about any excess, i.e. the amount you have to pay on each claim.
How to cut the cost of car insurance cover
- Shop around—buying online can be up to 10 per cent cheaper than a phone quote.
- Check to see if you’re entitled to any no-claims discount. These vary widely between insurers, but if you’ve driven without making a claim on your car insurance for a year, typically you can save 30 per cent on your car insurance premium and up to 70 per cent after four years without a claim.
- Are you a woman driver? If so, you could be in line for cheaper car insurance. Some insurers look more favourably on female drivers as, statistically, women’s claims are for relatively minor accidents.
- Keep your mileage low—if you do fewer than 12,000 miles a year, you could save money on your car insurance.
- Fit extra security. Installing an alarm or immobiliser can cut car insurance premiums, as can off-street parking or keeping your car in a garage.
Statistically, young drivers are more likely to have an accident and claim on their car insurance, so premiums can be very high. To help reduce these:
- Buy a car deemed by insurers to be in a low-risk group.
- Enrol in the Driving Standards Agency Pass Plus scheme.
- Shop around for a specialist policy aimed at young drivers.
Tip How do I buy a good car insurance
If a young person occasionally uses their parents’ car, they can be added to their parents’ car insurance policy as a named driver. Don’t do this if the child is the main driver, however—it’s illegal and car insurance companies are clamping down on the practice.

Now we know why Design Car (If You’re Living In Japan); people build cars as a hobby! Or at least that’s what Mitsuoka Motor is betting on. The auto company has released the K-4 micro car kit. This is a real, working mini-car that is about eight-feet long and comes in an old-school sports car design. You assemble everything on your own (to an extent) and after about 40 hours of work, you’ll be driving around in a new car that’s capable of doing 31-mph (race around the park, anyone?).
I suppose that’s all a 50cc-engine can handle, but I bet it’s still a blast to scoot around in. Anyone ever seen anything like this in the states? Have you made your own car?

Design Joseph Kosuth Chair

Was ask to write about this guy artwork on “OneAndThreeChairs”
we did a small presentation on this last week i think
i didnt really say much as i have little time to understand or read his artwork
i think it is kinda of interesting & weird that he actually blow up a pic of the chair
and puts an actual one beside it. It says that he is trying to show a Design Joseph Kosuth Chair
i think what he is trying to show is that what u see in pictures can actually come alive
to play tricks with our eyes for e.g if we stand far away i would think that it is 2 actual chairs together
