Flag is the design of contemporary houses that looked comfortable and designed by Propeller Z. This project is the renovation of 200 year old farmhouse with a traditional U-shaped in Vienna, Austria. Living room designs separate from the barn and stable yard. South wing is half buried into the slope and not related to the area to the rear. The Exploded House designed by Global Architectural Development, the building is located in Bodrum which is a Mediterranean port-trade settlement in the Southwest of Turkey. This house reinterprets traditional dwellings in the area, yet its angular structure that fits into the clefts in the hillside, remains in keeping with the natural environment and when seen from above the pools mirror the surrounding landscape and the endless vista of the bay and help mask the presence of the building on the hill. The open-plan main house ensuring that it is light and airy, a must in summer. For secondary prevention, the roof of the building is covered with a pond that collects rainwater. The water cascades from the roof of one of the other buildings and then circulated back to the round, creating a natural cooling system for hot climates.

A small community in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. the Rockefeller Partners Architects has designed the Mandeville Canyon Residence

The homeowners had lived in eight houses in ten years, moving where it was convenient for work, but never finding the perfect location to create a real home. They now have two small children and needed a property where they could work, play and grow as a family.

LP Architektur said House Pilotto located in the town of Sankt Johann im Pongau, Austria, this concept arranges the required living space in three main, functional zones. The western part of the first floor is dominated by a circa 90m² wide space, serving as place to eat and living room. It is zoned by means of an offset in height.

Entering the house in the eastern part, the family enjoys the orientation of living to the south (living room) and east (kitchen and eating).

Casa G is a vacation house in the countryside of Iceland designed by Gudmundur Jonsson’s architect. The concept of Casa G is based on reading and feedback to the landscape it exists on. The characteristic landscape situation and view differences distinctively in each direction. Towards south the view to the sea and islands, towards north the characteristic triangular mountain, towards east the glacier and towards west the river and canyon.

Those elements are the creator of the project, the transitions between the landscape views giving the entrance from the north and the curved plan giving a vitalized focus towards the seaside in south. When turning back the north view towards the mountain is as well enhanced with the widening view due to the fan-shape of the tilting wooden wall, being a mediator between the northern and southern landscape characteristic. The tilting is an answer and an interpretation of the glacier towards east, they are communicating and the only and huge window in that wall is creating “a painting” of the glacier experienced from the interior. The guest-wing of the building stretches to the canyon and the river towards west. Thus the building concept is a composition and dialogue of views and experiences of the various nature at site.
